Visually Appealing Information

I received several emails each week about upcoming changes and what to expect as a Super User and Readiness Agent. My role was to distribute the appropriate material with the team to equip everybody for the upcoming software conversion.

I constructed an infographic newsletter of sorts named the “Epic Express.” I broke down the multiple emails I obtained through the week into pleasing bite-sized information.

Part of the reason I chose infographics was to make the email different from the regular, corporate feeling emails we receive. Those emails are bland and often forgetful. I preferred my emails to stand out a little more. I wanted them to be interesting, meaningful, and most importantly memorable, so my unit could have a strong transition.

The other reason I wanted the infographic was for it’s bright festive color. We mostly work in a medical office call center. We’re seeing grey padded walls and off-white desks most of the time. Our software at the time was predominately white and grey. By sending out a fun colorful email it provided a little joy to the computer screen; and when printed it would create a little color on our cubicle walls.

Never underestimate the power of fun colors and characters. When used correctly, they can boost a mundane information email into a professional document.
